Do you know about the Chocolate Lake Best Western on St. Margaret’s Bay Rd by the Rotary? Sure it houses visitors to Halifax for a decent deal, but do you know that it’s a total community asset? The folks running that place really give a hoot about providing fun and affordable family-friendly things to do! They have a sweet arcade that is turning 1 year old this Saturday at 6. Sadly, pinball games are not around every corner anymore and if your kid has never played one, come check out the Silverball Games’ 1st Birthday Bash. They’ve got Flash Gordon, Frankenstein, and Motordome to name a few pinball games and some classic arcade faves like Street Fighter II and Crusin’ World USA as well as a photo booth. Regular hours are ery day all day (6-11). If that wasn’t enough, there’s a little pool down the hall and it only costs $5 per adult, $3 per child. Go ahead and give the hotel a call (902) 477-5611 if you want more info on their amenities.
