Weekend Wrap-up: Jan 12-13, 2013

1. Winter is fun at Ross Farm Museum, this weekend is their Winter Frolic! Join them for a sleigh ride and stop along the trail to enjoy a delicious cup of hot chocolate made over an open fire. After you have your ride visit the farm workshop, help turn the crank on the ice cream freezer, or bring your toboggan, they have a great coasting hill. You may also wish to experience their nature trail, they have snow shoes available for you to borrow, or you can bring your own skis and snowshoes! 2. Resist the urge to hibernate this winter! Go to the Museum of Natural History's Nature Lab for EYES in Winter to discover “cool” stuff you can find outside during this extraordinary time of the year and be inspired to explore nature on your own! 3. It's Family Sunday at the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic this weekend!  The Museum will be offering family fun and programming with lots of fun, exploring and great activities! 4. Get active this winter at the Emera Oval. Kick off your skating season with the whole family at C100's family Skate on Saturday from 4 – 6 pm. There will be lots of fun, prizes and great music to get you in the skating spirit!  Be sure to come enjoy this free event!
