Sackville Patriot Days are on so get ready for a washer toss tournament, BBQ, a scooter jam and more!
… Put on your finest red and white and explore events across the city, starting with FREE pancake breakfasts in Halifax and Dartmouth. Head on over to the official ceremonies to sing Oh Canada from the top of Citadel Hill and then check out the Maple Lodge Farms Family Fun Festival on the South Commons. The excitement continues into the evening at Alderney landing with the biggest FREE concert of the year featuring Dear Rouge, Born Ruffians, Yukon Blonde, Reeny Smith and Kid Koala. End the day with an incredible fireworks spectacle lit from Halifax Harbour produced by the Village Shops at Dartmouth Crossing!
… Join Parks Canada and celebrate Canada’s 149th birthday at the top of Citadel Hill inside the Halifax Citadel National Historic Site – FREE admission all day. It all starts with the firing of the iconic noon cannon followed by the twenty-one gun salute. Enjoy the music, military drill and the official Canada Day cake served by a highlander! Fun and entertainment for the whole family!
