1. Signs of summer are all around us this week, including our first Tall Ship visit of the season, Simon Bolivar. The vessel is docked at Cable Wharf (1751 Lower Water St) and will be departing on Saturday at 10pm. 2. Witness History in the Breaking! Over 200 Select Loblaw banner stores across Atlantic Canada, Ontario and Quebec will band together at 1:00 p.m. ADT on Saturday, March 24 in an attempt to break the Guinness World Records title for the most Parmigiano-Reggiano wheels cracked simultaneously! 3. Skiing came to an end this week at Wentworth and this will be Martock’s last weekend. To finish it up, they celebrate with the Slush Cup , a hilarious event to witness as skiers and boarders try to make it across a giant pond of slush without wiping out! 4. Yogabirth workshop! A fantastic half day workshop at Therapeutic Approach to Yoga on Quinpool Rd. It is being offered by a pre & post natal yoga instructor: Jolene D’Entremont and professional labour and post partum support doula: Robyn Berman. 5. On March 24-25th head to the Halifax Forum and cheer on the cheerleaders! The nationally recognized Cheerleading and Dance Championship Competition and Expo/Trade Show is for cheerleaders, dancers, gymnasts and their coaches! It’s a coach’s conference, a camp for athletes, an awesome competition, and great shopping for everyone!
