Weekend Wrap-up: September 14-15, 2013

1. It’s Open Farm Day! Open Farm Day is a province wide event on Sunday that creates the opportunity for participating Nova Scotia farmers to open their doors to members of their community.

We’re giving you a backstage pass to meet your farmer, and really see where your food comes from. We also want you to have a first hand glance at our farmers’ hard work and dedication to top quality products and services. Please take advantage of this great opportunity and visit as many of these farms as possible. Share stories, ask questions, get involved and most importantly have fun! If you haven’t participated before it’s a great family event, check the map, make a list, and head out for good food and lots of learning about the gret farms around us!

2. Just a short drive to Windsor for The Hants County Ex! First established in 1765, the Hants County Exhibition is the oldest continuously run agricultural fair in North America. Maritime Midways will be there with an exciting midway experience and great rides for the whole family!
