Last August, we featured a post on advertisement themed reads in light of the arrival of season 3 of the TV show Mad Men. Season 3 came and went, and a show that had quite a bit of buzz now has an even bigger amount, with critical and popular acclaim growing seemingly every day. With the arrival of Season 4 on July 25th, it seemed worth revisiting both last year’s post and the TV phenomena.
In the year between seasons, we’ve yet to see a barrage of ad firm set novels (it could still happen), but below are some of the ones that we suggested last year.
Mad for Mad Men (previous posted on Aug 11/2009)
TV fans are abuzz with the impending arrival of Mad Men Season 3, which starts airing on AMC Aug 16. Mad Men is a critically acclaimed TV drama about the the advertising world of 1960s USA. If you’re like me and you’re mad for Mad Men, but you don’t get AMC, you can tide yourself over until next summer’s likely release of a season 3 box set, by borrowing Mad Men Season 1 or Season 2 from the library.
