Were you traveling in Cape Breton today? RCMP request public assistance, Victoria County, N.S.

Victoria County RCMP are requesting the public’s assistance in locating a motorcyclist who disappeared while traveling in Cape Breton today.

Francois Brodeur, age 55, was last seen at approximately 12:30 p.m.

in the North Mountain / Big Intervale / Cape North area. He was traveling south to Ingonish from Pleasant Bay with another rider who was on a different motorcycle ahead of him.

Brodeur, who is an experienced rider, is described as 6’0′, 240 lbs, grey hair and is wearing a black motorcycle helmet, black jacket and either black rain pants or blue jeans. He is riding a purple Harley Davidson motorcycle and does not speak much English. Brodeur is not known to have any medical issues.

RCMP have patrolled the area extensively and are unable to locate him or his bike. RCMP are asking motorists who were traveling through the North Mountain / Big Intervale / Cape North area today and may have seen Brodeur to contact them at (902) 295-2350. The investigation is continuing.
