Wet n Wild contouring palette

If you are not into cream contouring/ highlight products like what I showed you from Make Up For Ever Pro Sculpting face palette yesterday, I have something in the opposite spectrum for you – Wet n Wild megaglo contouring palette in Dulce De Leche (new formula).

I know these contouring palettes (both old and new formulas) are not new in the US but only the new formula just arrived here, so I will review it on its own and will not compare it with the old formula.

Also formulated to be blendable and buildable, the palette features a matte powder duo to define and highlight your face. To my medium skin tone, the shades show up lightly, no dramatic effects.

I appreciate the matte highlighter, which appears on the skin in the same tone and brightening effect as the highlight shade in MUFE palette mentioned above. I especially like it under the brow bone.

The bronzing shade (I would not call it a contouring shade because of its warm undertone) is slightly darker than my skin tone, enough to add a bit of warmth to the frame of the face and light contouring on the side of my nose.

If you are used to cream products, the powder texture in this duo might need a bit of attention. They are a bit powdery, so a light tap on the surface with a loosely-packed brush is recommended instead of a swiping motion to avoid fallout. Once on, they blend easily and look natural.

I would recommend this palette if you just start out with sculpting your face, or if you prefer subtle effects. It is of a good size – 0.44oz/12.5g, I paid $5.99 for it at Superstore.
