What Happens In The Washroom Stays Between You And Your Jumpsuit

I LOVE a good jumpsuit as much as the next lady! It’s a fabulous way to appear dressed up without having to actually wear a dress! But with the jumpsuit comes some very comical situations.

..

WHAT I’M WEARING: Pants, H&M Sleeveless Top, Banana Republic. Jacket, Winners. Clutch and Boots, Le Chateau. Earrings, Clarie’s. Necklace, Forever 21.
Truth be told this isn’t a jumpsuit at all, it is instead a pair of trousers and a blouse (of the same fabric), and it is a trick. I’ve worn this outfit a thousand times, and every time people ask me about it. I love the idea of a jumpsuit, but I do have a long torso, and long (ish) legs, and so a jumpsuit typically results in one giant wedgy for me (sorry TMI), and it’s very uncomfortable (as you can imagine).

To fake the illusion of a jumpsuit I simply tuck my favorite sleeveless blouse from Banana Republic into my trousers, and I kind of hike them up a bit (so they sit higher on the hips), and viola! You’re ready to jump around. I have no idea how this idea struck me, but I’m so glad it did! The tank/pant combo looks like a jumpsuit, but bonus! no embarrassing moments in the washroom where you feel like you’re completely naked and vulnerable in the stall. Those of you who have worn jumpsuits know exactly how this feels lol you just keep your fingers crossed that no one walks in on you by accident.

What are your clever style tricks dearest blog reader? I’d love to hear them! Comment below or tweet me @shortpresents
