WHAT TO WEAR FOR A FLIGHT

As I pack my bags for fashion week (see you tomorrow Toronto WOOOO) I can’t help but think about travel outfits. Trust me I’ve had my fair share of mishaps (cue wearing a swing dress last summer, and not being to stow my luggage in the over head compartment), so I’ve put together some travel outfit tips.
FEATURED ITEMS: Poncho, c/o Mayberrys | Sunnies, Celine c/o Smart Buy Sunglasses | Waffle T-shirt , Old Navy | Shoes, Chucks | Bag, Sneha Varma | Tights, c/o Silver Icing | Duffle, c/o SWIMS | Watch, c/o Daniel Wellington |
SUNGLASSES
You need some sunnies especially after a long flight 🙂 it’s the best way to disguise tiredness without having to do anything! I never travel without sunglasses.
LAYERS

When you’re moving from place to place the temperature can fluctuate, so it’s always better to pile on some layers you can easily take off and put back on. I love this poncho with side snaps from Mayberrys for traveling it feels like the most socially acceptable snuggie you could ever wear in public.

DUFFLE
You need a place to put all your stuff (duh) I never travel without ALL my makeup, accessories, or work stuff. I don’t trust the stowed luggage, so I like to keep the necessities with me at ALL times. I love that this duffle from SWIMS is waterproof, and literally can double as a cooler bag, so you can fill it up with drinks and ice! How freaking cool is that?
COMFORTABLE PANTS
Lord knows I’ve made my fair share of mistakes not thinking about how uncomfortable it is to sit in a dress for hours on end, not to mention I typically sit like a pretzel so it also isn’t very ladylike. Now before you get all crazy on me about how leggings aren’t pants I’m with you. A good rule of thumb is to make sure you cover your bum. I also love these leggings from Silver Icing because they are pretty thick, and NEVER see through. Trust me I tested them (don’t ask). I’ll tell you why I like the idea of leggings (and not just because they confortable) it’s because I want to minimize any length of time spent going through security, so if I can lose a zipper or another pocket to empty I’m a gonna take it.
WATCH
It’s annoying, yes, to take it over and put it back on, but I also like to change my watch to the time of where ever I’m going, so I don’t feel out of whack when I get there.  For whatever reason I feel like it helps 🙂
SCARF
Do you get cold on a flight? Scarves are where it’s at, not only to they create a shield between you and you’re new roommates, it also doubles as a blanket if you get cold, or as an eye mask if you want to sleep. Not going to lie I used my scarf to block out a small child I was seated next to while on a 10 hour flight to Paris. I always make sure to either wear a scarf of toss one in my bag, plus you never know if the temps will drop where ever you’re headed, so it’s just a good thing to have just in case.
CHUCKS
We don’t need to get into this again, but this are my go-to of go-tos. I don’t care what time of year it is these shoes are on my feet, and ready to move! Not only do you not have to remove them at the airport security (winning) they go with anything, so you can rest assured you can pretty much wear them anytime during your trip!
