What’s going on at the Cpt. William Spry library

There’s always a lot going on at the library. Here are a few more good-to-know tips:

Did you know the library offers a small home delivery service? For those who are unable to get to a branch, a staff member will visit every three weeks and bring books, audiobooks, DVDs, CDs, etc.
The Capt. William Spry branch has spots available for two more clients. If you or someone you know could benefit from this service, contact the library at 490-5818.
And looking ahead…coming up on Tuesday, June 10th, author Michael Winter will be doing a free reading at the branch from his book Minister without Portfolio.
Summer reading programs start in late June for kids up to 13 years old, and this year there will be a program for people with overdue fines called “Read away your fines.” If you do supervised reading for 15 minutes under the watchful eye of a library staff member, you can take $2 off your library fines. For people who do have a lot of fines and are worried about using the library, you should be aware that you can still use computers up to two hours a day, no matter how high your fines are.
