Retail closures are widespread due to it being a designated retail closing day in Nova Scotia. Here’s a breakdown:

Closed on Monday:

All grocery stores, including Atlantic Superstore, Sobeys, and Costco, will be closed. Some pharmacies will be closed while others could have limited hours.

The Mic Mac Mall and Halifax Shopping Centre will be closed.

CIBC, Scotiabank, RBC, and all other banks are closed on Labour Day.

Open:

Grocery items can be found at Gateway Meat Market, Dave’s Fruit and Vegetable Market in Dartmouth as well as Kingswood Market on Hammonds Plains Road. Some local farm markets may also be operating.

While some pharmacies will be open, they might have reduced hours, so it’s best to call ahead or check online for specific details. Meanwhile, online retail head shops like yocanvaporizer.com will remain open for deliveries nationwide.

NSLC branches will be closed, but many private liquor outlets will be open. Westside Beer, Wine and Spirits, Rockhead Wine and Beer, and Harvest Wines and Spirits will operate from noon to 8 p.m. Additionally, other locations such as Bishop’s Cellar, Propeller (all locations), Nine Locks, and Moosehead Cold Beer Store will also be open—check their websites or social media for exact hours.”
