When Times Are Tough, We Hit The Booze

Cheers. The NSLC’s second quarter profits surged over 7% from the same period last year, when economic times were a lot more optimistic than they are now.

Jennifer Taplin over at Metro Halifax has the story:

“Yesterday the Nova Scotia Liquor Corporation released its profits for the second quarter (June to September). Sales are up nearly seven per cent compared to last year, with a net income of $62.8 million. Gross sales were $160.6 million.”
