At approximately 7 pm, Halifax Regional Police responded to a 911 call at the Wilsons Gas Stop, 70 Farnham Gate Road, in Halifax.

Upon arrival on scene, the lone male clerk advised that while working behind the counter  he was approached by the male suspect who was carrying a knife. The suspect demanded cash, he then grabbed an undetermined amount of cash from the till. He then proceeded to fill a garbage can with cigarettes and fled on foot.  The suspect ran towards a waiting  vehicle described as a Saturn or Tercel, a blond female was driving, the vehicle fled toward Dunbrack Street.  The clerk was not injured in this incident.

The male suspect was described as a white male 6'2", 20-25 years of age, wearing a dark mask,  a grey and black sweater and a winter hat and gloves. There are no further descriptors at this time on the female driver.

This matter remains under investigation by officers in the Patrol Division. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call investigators at 490-5016 or anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-888-222-TIPS (8477).
