Wind warning for Monday (Issued Sun Jan 16 2022)

Wind warning in effect for:

  • Halifax Metro and Halifax County West

Strong winds that may cause damage are expected or occurring.

Maximum gusts: southeasterly 80 to 100 km/h.

Locations: southwestern Nova Scotia, from Digby County through to Halifax.

Time span: Monday afternoon and Monday evening.

High winds may toss loose objects or cause tree branches to break.

Wind warnings are issued when there is a significant risk of damaging winds.
