Window shot out, McD’s robbed, firebomb thrown

 

Police were kept busy overnight with three separate incidents.
Release:
Weapons
At about 10:55 pm a member of the Halifax Regional Police stopped a vehicle on Cranberry Cresent in the 0-100 block in Dartmouth. A short time later in the same area there was a report of a window of a house being shot out. Several units responded as well as K9. A track was started and members located and seized a firearm in one of the many paths in the area. Two males from the original traffic stop were taken into custody and the vehicle was seized.Two other males were taken into custody near the area the K9 team had tracked and the weapon was located. Members of the General Investigation Section and Forensic Identification section attended as well. The four males, 1 young offender and three adult males are presently being interviewed in relation to the incident.
Robbery
At 11:35 pm members of the Halifax Regional Police responded to a robbery at McDonalds located at 6324 Quinpool Road in Halifax.The suspect who was wearing a mask,entered the store and confronted staff with a knife demanding cash. Staff complied and the suspect fled out a rear door and eventually got into a waiting vehicle which left the area. No one was injured in the robbery. The suspect is described as a male 5’7” tall, 145 lbs wearing a hoodie and black jeans. It is believe he got into grey vehicle resembling a Volkswagon. The area was checked but the suspects and vehicle could not be located. The file remains under investigation.
Arson
At about 12:45 AM members of the Halifax Regional Police responded to a residence on Fundy Lane in Dartmouth for a fire.Officers learned that a person had thrown a bottle filled with a flammable liquid at a residence, there was a small fire which a resident quickly extinguished. The area was checked by patrol officers and a K9 unit but the suspect could not be located.  The suspect is described as  a white male wearing black shorts and two hoodies, one was red. The file remains under investigation.
