Windsor District RCMP investigates armed robbery, Falmouth, N.S.

Windsor District RCMP is investigating an armed robbery that occurred early this morning.

At approximately 1:30 a.m., a lone male entered the Falmouth Irving, pointed a knife at the store attendant and demanded cigarettes.

The suspect, who had concealed his identity by pulling a burgundy coloured sweatshirt over his head, then left the scene with an undisclosed amount of cigarettes, possibly in a dark coloured automobile. Police attended the scene and attempted to find the suspect with the help of a police service dog, but were unable to do so. Police are still looking for the male suspect, who is described as approximately 6′ tall with a slender body and light brown skin.
