Windsor RCMP Charge Youth in Attempted Robbery

At approximately 11:30 p.m. on February 16, 2016, Windsor RCMP officers received a 911 call from employees at the Ultramar gas station on Wentworth Rd. in Windsor indicating a person was trying to break into the locked store during a power outage. 
 
The door to the gas station is locked every evening after 10 p.m. and employees are required to unlock it to admit patrons.  The person didn’t get into the store and fled on foot. 
 
Officers responded however were not able to locate the suspect.
 
Shortly before 11 p.m. on February 21, 2016, Windsor RCMP officers received a 911 call indicating a person wearing a mask and carrying a baseball bat was trying to break into the locked store again. 
 
Officers responded and quickly located and arrested a 15-year-old male shortly after.  No one was injured during this incident.
 
As a result, the male youth has been charged with Robbery x 2, Wearing a Disguise with Intent, and Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose.  He has been held in custody and is set to appear today at the Windsor Provincial Courthouse.
