Windsor RCMP investigate armed robbery, Windsor, N.S.

Windsor RCMP are investigating an armed robbery that occurred earlier this morning.

At approximately 6:55 a.m., a lone male entered the Windsor Ultramar located at 232 Wentworth Road and demanded money.

The suspect, who did not show a weapon, left the business on foot with an undisclosed amount of money and a carton of cigarettes. The clerks were unharmed. A police service dog attended the scene, the suspect is still at large. He is described as 5’9′ to 5’10’, heavy set build, wearing a blue striped hoodie, pink gloves, dark pants and a black face mask.

Anyone with any information about this incident is asked to contact Windsor RCMP at (902) 798-2207, local police or Nova Scotia Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or by a Secure Web Tips at www.crimestoppers.ns.ca. Calls to Crime Stoppers are not taped or traced and if police make an arrest and lay charges based on a tip, callers qualify for a cash award from $50 – $2000.
