Windsor RCMP are investigating a rash of vehicle thefts. Overnight on August 2nd, 2014, three vehicles were reported stolen vehicles from Highway 1 in Three Mile Plains, Newport Station, St.

Overnight on August 2nd, 2014, three vehicles were reported stolen vehicles from
Highway 1 in Three Mile Plains, Newport Station, St.

Croix.

The stolen vehicles were all recovered in ditches within these communities.

At 6:37 p.m. on August 3rd, 2014, Windsor RCMP received a report of a missing 19-year-old man from Mount Uniacke. At 7:05 p.m. the missing man was located in the woods by his friends within the area of where police recovered the last stolen vehicle. The male had serious injuries and was transported by EHS paramedics to the QEII.

RCMP are not ruling out that these incidents could be related.

Members of the public are reminded to remove the keys as well as valuable items from their vehicles, and to lock their vehicles overnight.
