Government has negotiated a three-year contract for wireless mobility service with Bell Mobility.
At current service levels, the contract is valued at $2.1 million per year. Estimated savings for government are $1.4 million per year.
The contract allows other public sector users, such as school boards, post-secondary institutions, municipalities and health authorities, to benefit from the same pricing plan. Their savings will depend on the services purchased.
The contract was awarded through a procurement process involving an independent fairness monitor.
