#WMCFW JOE FRESH FW14 RUNWAY

Inspired by the great Canadian outdoors, and the recent polar votex the Joe Fresh Fall Winter 2014 collection played heavily with texture and proportions.
With dramatic volume and over-sized silhouettes contrasted with slim pants, the collection held no boundaries for where it could go. “We gave ourselves the freedom to experiment with shape and volume, so coats this season veer oversize to shrunken, trapeze to ankle-length” – says creative director Joe Mimran.
Effortlessly chic the collection is geared towards the athletic with its sporty lace up details, and jogger inspired pants. “The overall effect is one of sophistication married to a more free-spirited attitude. This is a confident, active woman who likes the outdoors. She’s cool but never fussy”- Mimran
Olive, lichen, camel, and caramel clothing gives the whole collection a very earthy vibe while the raw edges give the clothing that luxe lived in look.

Looking forward to seeing this collection hit stores in the Fall of this year; I definitely know some key pieces I’ll be coveting already! Like that vest in the first photo! I mean?!

I’ll be bringing you more recaps from World Master Card Fashion Week in Toronto so make sure to stay tuned! All photo credit goes to George Pimentel
