Wmcfw: Soia And Kyo Spring/Summer 2015

Containing the Montreal-based brand’s tradition of polished and utilitarian design SOIA & KYO debuted its Spring/Summer 2015 collection during Toronto’s World MasterCard Fashion Week on Thursday Oct 23 and if you’re a city guy or gal you’re going to want to take note.

“Our newest collection highlights the versatility of SOIA & KYO,” said Ilan Elfassy, creative director of SOIA &KYO. “Spring/Summer 2015 is all about the fusion of environments. This collection softens the sometimes-industrial city wardrobe with delicate pastoral qualities, allowing the pieces to transition smoothly between downtown and out-of-town.

“City Limits is a breath of fresh air, blending contemporary urban styling with notes of country comforts. The line-up features an enhanced colour palette, extending from soft, earthy sands and oatmeal to bolder cosmopolitan yellows. The collection features colours that compliment their environment, but never overpower”.

Minimalist and refined, the collection was made up of draped light trenches (basically want all of them), soft washed leathers (the rust colored one? I mean?!) and textured canvas.  Designed to be “worn in the city or extending beyond its bounds; the classic ease of the Spring/Summer 2015 collection offers an escape from a busy lifestyle”.

About SOIA & KYO:

“Since designer Ilan Elfassy launched his first women’s outerwear collection in 2004 and expanded the brand to include a men’s line in 2010, S&K has made a name for itself thanks to its impeccable fit, intricate detailing and unique styling. S&K is a Montreal based brand that can be found in independent specialty boutiques, as well as select fine department stores such as Nordstrom and Piperlime. With distributors and showrooms located in Berlin, Paris, New York and Los Angeles, the company continues its global expansion”.
Seriously though don’t you just adore this collection? Ahhhh it soothes my minimalist soul. I loved this collection on the runway especially with the addition of the green turf as the adorable pup: way to bring it Soia and Kyo.  Pretty, clean, fresh and fuss free; this collection was totally up my ally. I would honestly wear it all.
