Woman airlifted to QE2 after crash

Halifax District RCMP are investigating after a single motor vehicle crash on Hwy. 7 in Ship Harbour.

On May 5, at approximately 8 p.m., Halifax District RCMP, fire and EHS responded to a report of a vehicle crash on Hwy. 7 in Ship Harbour. Officers learned that a Toyota Venza left the roadway and came to rest in the ditch.

The driver of the vehicle, a 42-year-old woman from Cole Harbour, suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to hospital by LifeFlight.

The investigation is ongoing.

Hwy. 7 was closed for several hours but has since reopened.
