Woman attacked in Bedford, police looking for suspect

Woman attacked in Bedford, police looking for suspect The Halifax Regional Police are investigating and assault that occurred today at approximately noon. A 43 year old female was walking her dog on the path near Shore Drive in Bedford when she was knocked to the ground by an unknown male. A brief struggle ensued and it is believed that this female’s dog may have bitten the suspect. The suspect then ran away.

The female returned home and disclosed this incident to a family member who attended the area of the incident and flagged over a police officer to report the incident.

The suspect is described as a white male believed to be in his 40′s, stocky build under six feet in height with dyed red curly hair. The suspect was described as wearing a golf shirt with horizontal stripes that were yellow, blue and green.

The matter is still under investigation and the Halifax Regional Police are requesting anyone with information on this incident to contact the Halifax Regional Police or Crime Stoppers.
