Woman charged following weapons complaint

Investigators with the HRP/RCMP Integrated General Investigation Section have laid charges against a woman involved in an incident that occurred Monday in Halifax.
 
At 4:04 p.m., police responded to the area of Barrington Street and Spring Garden Road for a weapons call. The female victim was accompanied by a male friend when she was approached by a woman who is known to her. The two got into a verbal dispute and the suspect took a BB gun from her purse and threatened to shoot the victim. The victim was not injured. The suspect left in her vehicle before police arrival but later turned herself in at police headquarters.
 
Twenty-five-year-old Sara Raye Myles of Kentville appeared in Halifax Provincial Court yesterday. She faces charges of pointing a firearm, possession of a weapon dangerous to the public peace, assault with a weapon and uttering death threats.
