Woman Charged with Attempting to Smuggle Drugs into Jail

A woman faces charges after she was caught bringing drugs into the
Central Nova Scotia Correction Facility (CNSCF) in Burnside.
 
Yesterday at 1:24 p.m., police responded to the CNSCF after staff at
the facility located drugs hidden in clothing she was delivering to the
jail. Officers arrested the woman without incident and seized a quantity
of marijuana, hydromorphone and ecstasy.
 
A 28-year-old woman from Shad Bay faces charges of drug trafficking and
is scheduled to appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court on May 16, 2012.
