Woman charged with break and enters in North End

Police have charged a woman in relation to a break and enter that occurred in Halifax on Sunday evening.

At approximately 7:25 p.m. officers responded to a report of a woman in the area of Sebastian Place attempting to break into homes. The woman fled the area on foot prior to officers arriving on scene. Through the investigation, officers determined that two residences had been broken into in the area.

Officers located the woman walking on Cabot Place carrying several stolen items and arrested her without incident.

Natasha Danielle Kerfont, 36, is scheduled to appear in Halifax Provincial Court today to face the following charges:

  • Break and enter x2
  • Possession of break-in tools
  • Possession of stolen property x2
  • Breach of release order x3
