A Timberlea woman escaped to her neighbour’s after being attacked at 3 a.m. while she was sleeping in her own home.

The woman, who was alone, heard her floors creak, and within seconds was attacked by a man who jumped on her in bed, attempted to choke her, and struck her with a metal object.
