On September 20 at approximately 6:40 p.m., police responded to a report of a theft at the Superstore, located at 6141 Young Street in Halifax. It was reported that a repeat shoplifter stole merchandise and fled on foot. Officers located and arrested the suspect without incident. During the investigation, officers determined the woman was believed to be the suspect in 22 other incidents.

Jennifer Bowser, 40, is scheduled to appear in Halifax provincial court today to face charges of:

• Theft under $5000.00 (x20)
• Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000.00 (x20)
• Unlawfully use a credit card (x2)
• Unlawfully possess a credit card (x2)
• Fail to attend court
