Woman faces drug charges after traffic stop

Halifax Regional Police has laid drug trafficking charges in relation to a seizure made in Halifax this week.

On November 29, at approximately 5:30 p.m., investigators with the Halifax Regional Police Quick Response Unit stopped a vehicle on Highway 102 in Halifax in relation to an ongoing investigation.

The driver was arrested, and officers seized approximately 10 kilograms of what is believed to be cocaine. The driver, a 38-year-old woman, is scheduled to appear in court at a later date to face one count of possession for the purpose of trafficking.
