Woman hit by Halifax Transit bus

Police are investigating a vehicle pedestrian collision that occurred in Dartmouth yesterday.

At approximately 5:30 p.m. police responded to a report of a vehicle pedestrian collision at the intersection of Windmill Road and Seapoint Road. A Halifax Transit bus driver was making a left-hand turn onto Windmill Road from Seapoint Road when the bus struck a pedestrian with its mirror. The woman was crossing Windmill Road from Ralston Avenue to Seapoint Road in a marked crosswalk. The 31-year-old-woman was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The investigation is ongoing.
