Woman Sexually Assaulted At Bus Stop

On Saturday, October 20th / 2012 members of the Halifax Regional Police responded to a report of a sexual assault that occurred in a bus shelter located near 184 Portland St. in Dartmouth.
 A 21 year old female reported that while sitting in the shelter waiting for the bus an unknown male party approached her and engaged her in a sexually explicit conversation. The victim, refused the advances of the subject, but during the course of the conversation the victim was touched / groped in an inappropriate and sexual manner. This offence occurred at approx. 1:30pm but was not reported until several hours later. The area was searched extensively by patrol officers with negative results. The matter remains under investigation.
 
The suspect is described as follows: black male(medium complexion) 35-40 yrs of age, 5’10”, 160 lbs, medium build, unshaven with gray whiskers. He was wearing rimmed glasses, a blue baseball hat worn backwards, a light blue denim jacket, blue or dark gray gym style pants with snap enclosures at the pockets.
