wordless wednesday: room for favorites

Tuesday, November 15th, 2011

My boys are turning 2 and 4 this month and with the 2 year old being the tiny professional escape artist he is, it seemed like a good time to transition from crib to big boy bed. Also seemed like the perfect time to blend two rooms into one and give them the chance to share a room for the first time. How fun!

I still have a pretty big to-do list left for the room (sewing curtains for the loft bed, choosing a color then painting the room, etc.) but today we focused on favorites. When two boys are sharing an already small-ish room, there’s no room for junk collecting in a toy bin. Thankfully before we moved I did a major toy cleanout so it wasn’t hard to pick out the favorites to bring back into the room. Wooden kitchen, play food, the books we read over and over, matchbox cars, wooden blocks, a chalkboard, crayons, toy animals….that’s about it.

Do you need much more at that age?
