wordless wednesday: separation anxiety in toddlers. help!

My oldest never had this issue, but Ethan (^up there^ turning 2 next month) does. I can’t leave the room or walk upstairs or out of his sight without him starting to cry 🙁 I like to think our parenting style has helped create a secure, attached bond but then my little man has fears that mama is abandoning him all.day.long!

Oddly enough he’s good with being left alone for bedtime and naps – it’s just when we’re up and around and I leave his sight.

Babywearing works, but I can only carry a 30 pound child for so long. All day isn’t an option unless there’s a magical baby carrier out there that I don’t know about yet.

Did your little ones go through this? How long did it last? What did you do?
