Y.Z. v. Halifax Regional Municipality Hearing Resumes


An independent Nova Scotia human rights board of inquiry in the case of Y.Z. v. Halifax Regional Municipality is scheduled to resume Wednesday, March 22.

An identity publication ban has been issued by the board chair to protect the complainant’s identity. The complainant alleges racial discrimination by the employer, Halifax Regional Municipality.

The board of inquiry will begin at 9:30 a.m., at the Nova Scotia Securities Commission, 5251 Duke St. Suite 400, Halifax.

The board chair is Lynn Connors, who is independent of the commission. The commission is representing the public interest.
