Yarmouth County driver sent to hospital after pick-up collides with house, Tusket, N.S.

Yarmouth County RCMP is investigating a collision that occurred earlier between a pick-up truck and a house. At 10:25 a.m., Yarmouth County RCMP, Emergency Health Services (EHS) and Eelbrook Fire department responded to a report of a Toyota Tacoma pick-up truck hitting a house at the intersection of Highway 308 and Frank Doucette Road, Yarmouth County.

Yarmouth County RCMP is investigating a collision that occurred earlier between a pick-up truck and a house.

At 10:25 a.m., Yarmouth County RCMP, Emergency Health Services (EHS) and Eelbrook Fire department responded to a report of a Toyota Tacoma pick-up truck hitting a house at the intersection of Highway 308 and Frank Doucette Road, Yarmouth County.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the lone male driver was traveling north on Highway 308 when he lost control of his vehicle and hit the residence at that intersection. The 63-year-old man from Morris Island was taken to the Yarmouth General Hospital by EHS with serious injuries.

The house sustained moderate damage while the vehicle sustained significant damage. The investigation is continuing at this time.
