Yarmouth County RCMP responds to deck collapse, Brazil Lake, N.S.

Yarmouth County RCMP responded to a structure collapse in Brazil Lake. At approximately 2:25 p.m., Yarmouth County RCMP, EHS and Fire responded to a collapsed deck on the Hans Rd.

At approximately 2:25 p.m., Yarmouth County RCMP, EHS and Fire responded to a collapsed deck on the Hans Rd.

Preliminary investigation determined that the deck was approximately 10-12 feet from the ground when it collapsed with approximately 40 people on it. Twelve people, ages 17 and 18, were transported to Yarmouth Regional Hospital, Digby Hospital and Shelburne Hospital.

The investigation is continuing.
