Yarmouth RCMP investigate fatal motor vehicle collision, Tusket Falls, N.S.

December 23, 2014, Tusket Falls, Nova Scotia… Yarmouth RCMP are investigating a two-vehicle crash that resulted in the death of the driver of one of the vehicles.

At 8:06 p.m., Yarmouth RCMP, Eel Brook District Fire and Emergency Health Services responded to a two-vehicle crash near distance marker 9 of Highway 103 in Tusket Falls. The driver of one of the vehicles, a 65-year-old male, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The female passenger was taken to hospital for what are believed to be non-life threatening injuries.

The other vehicle was occupied by two persons, both of which have undisclosed, non-life threatening injuries.

Hwy 103 in this area has been closed in both directions while an RCMP traffic analyst conducts an investigation in to the crash. Traffic is being re-routed on Hwy 3. It is expected that the 103 will remain closed in this area for 3 to 5 hours.

RCMP continue to investigate to determine the exact cause of the crash.
