“Yes, Tickets for You!”: Seinfeld tickets to go on sale this morning for The Great Outdoors Comedy Festival

People of Halifax were busy dusting off their white court shoes and tucking button-downs into their jeans this week with the news that legendary comedian Jerry Seinfeld will be performing in the city this August. The Emmy-winning actor and author is joining The Great Outdoors Comedy Festival as their first headliner on August 11  at the city’s Garrison Grounds. Tickets go on sale at greatoutdoorscomedyfestival.com, today, March 3, at 10 am with prices starting at $79. The unique festival will be taking place August 11-13 with more performers to be announced in the coming weeks.

“We are very excited to be bringing The Great Outdoors Comedy Festival to the east coast this summer, let alone have a comedy legend like Jerry Seinfeld kick things off for us and all for a good cause,” says Mike Anderson, President of Trixstar LIVE, the creator of the Festival.

Anderson is referring to Trixstar’s vision that their events “create impactful experiences that make an impact in people’s lives and in the community.” In regards to the Halifax stop, $2 from every ticket sold will be donated to the Canadian Progress Club, a group of volunteers dedicated to creating opportunities for those with special needs.

“Special events are at the centre of what Progress Club is known for and we’re excited at the opportunity to work with The Great Outdoors Comedy Festival as they make their way east.” says Progress Club President, Kevin Burgess. “Based on the amazing lineup that Trixstar has put together for this summer, it’s not hard to envision that The Great Outdoors Comedy Festival could become a new pillar in our fundraising efforts for years to come.”

When it comes to comedy it doesn’t get more amazing than Jerry Seinfeld. Seinfeld first broke onto the comedy scene after appearing on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson in 1981. But it wasn’t until 1989 when he created “Seinfeld” with friend and fellow comedian Larry David (creator and star of “Curb Your Enthusiasm”) that he became a household name. And despite Seinfeld ending close to 25 years ago, it can still be seen regularly via Netflix along with his other Netflix show, “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee”.

And while Seinfeld and his fellow comedians (to be announced soon) are guaranteed to make you smile, it will also be the Festival’s blend of outdoor festival and indoor comedy club that will make this event truly unique. Local craft brewers in Garrison Brewing and Bulwark Cider will provide the drinks while local food trucks will be on hand to provide food for festival goers. VIP tickets also go on sale Friday with spots close to the stage, premium drink menu, early access to the grounds, and service right to your table. If that isn’t for you, get a ticket and bring your camping chair and blanket and enjoy the laughter under the August stars.

“Halifax has been so welcoming and we’re eager to show them a wildly hilarious weekend,” says Anderson. Don’t miss out on this incredible performance. Tickets go on sale today, March 3, at 10 am AST and can be purchased here http://bit.ly/3SmMJBu.
