CFIA release:

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency has issued a national Class 1 food recall after multiple varieties of Yoplait brand YOP drinkable yogurt were found to contain possible pieces of plastic. The recall affects all best before dates up to and including January 12, 2026, depending on the product size and flavour.

The company initiated the recall, and no injuries have been reported. Consumers are urged not to drink any of the recalled YOP products, and retailers have been instructed to pull them from shelves across Canada.

The CFIA warns that ingesting plastic fragments may pose a choking hazard or cause injury.

What consumers should do

Check your fridge for any of the recalled YOP products listed below.
Do not consume them.
Throw them out or return them to the store for a refund.
Contact a health professional if you believe you may have been injured after consuming the product.

The CFIA is conducting a food safety investigation and verifying that recalled products are removed from sale.
