Youth Points Weapon At Dog

Halifax Regional Police is investigating a weapons related complaint that occurred this afternoon on Robert Street in Dartmouth.
 
At approximately 12:57 p.m., a youth was walking on Robert Street when a dog ran from a nearby yard towards him. He pointed what appeared to be a firearm at the dog and fled the area when confronted by the dog’s owner. Officers searched the area but failed to locate the youth.
 
The suspect is described as a white male in his late teens, 5’6”, with a medium build and short cropped hair. At the time, he was wearing a dark hoodie and dark jeans. 
 
Police would like to speak with anyone who may have witnessed the incident or saw someone matching the description in the area. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact police at 490-5016.
