Assault and robbery

 At 11pm, a 20 year old male was walking in the area of Plateau Cres. Halifax when he was approached by three male teen suspects who began to assault him. During the assault they removed some of his personal property and fled on foot to a nearby residence in the 100 block of Plateau Cres. The three suspects were located by police hiding inside the residence and arrested for robbery. The victim’s property was also recovered by police. Two of the youths are being held for court on Monday, the third was released to attend court at a later date. The victim was treated by EHS at the scene for minor injuries.

 Stabbing

At 250am, police were called to Taboo night club, 1743 Grafton St. Halifax in relation to an adult male that had been stabbed. Investigators determined that the victim was involved in an assault inside the club, and after being escorted outside by staff, he realized that he had been stabbed in the abdomen. The victim was taken to the QE2 and admitted for non-life threatening injuries. He is expected to be released later today. The hospital went into temporary lock down which is now lifted. The incident is still under investigation at this time with police attempting to obtain information on the suspect.
