1000’s Affected by Boil Water Advisory

Communities of Fall River, Waverley, Windsor Junction, Capilano, Miller Lake, Frame, Silverside, Lakeview & Lower Sackville (Cobequid Road – Glendale Drive Outbound)

Halifax Water wishes to advise you that there is a possibility of unsafe drinking water.

As a result, we are advising that you boil all water for 2 minutes before drinking, making ice cubes, washing foods, brushing teeth, or any other activity requiring human consumption. This is to be done until further notice.

This boil water order is precautionary and based on the possible occurrence of low chlorine residual resulting from the water main break at Cobequid Road and Glendale Drive.

Nova Scotia Environment is continuing to monitor the water quality, and Halifax Water, Nova Scotia Environment, and the Medical Officer of Health are working in close consultation.
