38-year-old man hospitalized after being hit by van

Kings District RMCP is investigating a vehicle-pedestrian collision that occurred on Prospect Rd. in New Minas.

On December 28, at approximately 10:44 p.m., Kings District RCMP and EHS responded to a report of a collision on Prospect Rd. in New Minas. RCMP officers learned that a Dodge Grand Caravan was traveling on Prospect Rd when it struck a pedestrian.

The pedestrian, a 38-year-old New Minas man, suffered serious injuries and was transported to hospital by ambulance.

The driver of the vehicle, a 55-year-old Cambridge man, was uninjured.

An RCMP collision reconstructionist attended the scene and the investigation is ongoing.

Prospect Rd. was closed for several hours but has since reopened.
