Wednesday, July 27th 2011, Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM) N.S. …. Members of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) Halifax District, of Sackville office responded to a multi vehicle accident at 0515 hours on Hwy 101 (inbound to Bedford),just before the exit to the 102 Hwy near the rifle range. 

There are at least five vehicle involved and one person has been rushed to hospital with serious injuries. Four of the vehicles are cars and one is a large flatbed truck. The median is damaged on one side and the guard rail on the other. Fluids have leaked out of one vehicle and are on the road way. The highway may be closed for an extended period of time. The investigation is continuing.
