63 motor vehicle offences ticketed over a 48-hour period

Over the past two days, the Halifax Regional Police Traffic Unit issued a number of tickets for motor vehicle-related offences.

On Wednesday and Thursday, members issued 63 summary offence tickets: 32 for speeding (including one for stunting), 11 for driving without insurance and 20 for other offences including driving with a revoked license, failing to move over for an emergency vehicle, unsafe turn and failing to signal.

The monthly theme for April is speeding and aggressive driving. In a continued effort to address traffic safety issues, officers will focus on these areas when conducting enforcement.

We all have a role to play in keeping our roads safe. If you see someone driving dangerously, report it to police by calling 911.
