Traffic is being diverted on a major Halifax artery after an accident lead to the arrest of a barefooted man. The accident occured this morning on Oxford Street about a block from Chebucto Road after a car smashed into a dump truck. The driver of the car fled the scene on foot and was aprehended a short time later.
At this time Metro Transit buses being rerouted through a portion of Cannaught Avenue, and traffic is affected. Police have no ETA on when the street will reopen.
