RCMP lay charges following three-vehicle collision

Halifax District RCMP charged a 62-year-old woman following a three-vehicle collision in Westphal yesterday.

Just before 8 a.m., Halifax District RCMP responded to a three-vehicle collision at the intersection of Hwy. 7 and Ross Rd.​ A vehicle was travelling westbound on Hwy. 7 and proceeded to make a left turn on to Ross Rd. and collided with an eastbound vehicle.​ Both vehicles in turn collided with a vehicle which was stopped at the stop sign on Ross Rd.​ The driver of westbound vehicle was taken to hospital via EHS for non-life threatening injuries.

The driver of the westbound vehicle, from Porters Lake, was charged with Failing to Yield When Making Left Turn on Highway.
