On August 16, 2020 at approximately 12:20 a.m., Police in New Glasgow attended a Victoria Avenue residence for a well-being check.

After police attended the well-being check, the lone male barricaded himself in his residence.

On Monday August 17, 2020 at approximately 5:10 p.m. the lone male was safely apprehended without further incident.

Royal Canadian Mounted Police H Division assisted.

No injuries to barricaded male.

Emergency Health Services attended and transported the lone male to Hospital.

He was apprehended under the Involuntary Psychiatric Treatment Act. No charges are pending at this time.
